ALLISON ESKEW
Fundraising
December 7, 2015
It’s time to raise money for 2016 and the goal is a lofty $80,000 (double last year’s goal)! We have a big need to hire more staff here in order to keep moving forward in growing the program, as well as for the sake of my energy and drive. The $80,000 will cover all of our general operating expenses and two part-time staff members’ salaries. I will continue raising my salary separately in a designated fund. This is the next step for us.
The deadline is December 31st! That is 25 exciting days from now. At the risk of letting the cat out of the bag, we are actually not a huge organization with thousands of followers at this time. We’re going to need lots of help spreading the word and talking folks into aiming their generous hearts toward ReWork Project.
I truly believe it’s a worthy cause and here’s why:
We’re trying something different. We don’t give out food or clothing to thousands, but through God’s mercy we’re able to give confidence, dignity, and motivation to those in our program; along with job skills and a modest income. With that in place, the possibilities are endless and the changes made are the kind that last and are built upon. It’s a slower method and it’s an incredibly hard method, a true investment in relationships. But the hope of seeing someone become more of who they were always meant to be is worth the cost (easily an $80 grand minimum, I calculated it). ;)
If you did not financially support ReWork in 2015, now is the time to join us. We need at least twice the supporters this year, your gained participation is clutch.
If you did financially support us in 2015, you have contributed to a truly great year of progress and successes. Thank you tremendously. I humbly ask for your continued support and your consideration in whether you’re able to increase your gift for 2016.
As an organization founded on love and acceptance, we love and accept all amounts of your money. :-) You read correctly, no amount too big or too small, just join us. Consider a monthly gift if that enables you to be more generous in the long term, as it enables us to feel the love all year long.
If you’ve read this far, please give now. Before you forget and honestly before any inspiration you might feel, starts to fade in the busyness of life (it’s a thing that happens). I work with people that are worthy of this. And early givers are the fuel that inspires more givers. You are important. Bonus: It’s tax deductible.
P.S. Keep up with our social media over the next 25 days as we share lots of reasons for giving, and then “like” them and share them with your friends!
The struggle with homelessness can be overwhelming.
